MyGriefSpace.net is primarily a member-driven site and our moderators are members who have also lost loved ones and volunteer to oversee our Grief Groups ('loss of spouse,' loss of parent,' 'loss of a child' etc.). All site activity monitored and overseen by an "Admin" who is a grief counselor and/or experienced in working with people who are grieving losses to death.
Contact support@mygriefspace.com for details.
Oversight is provided at MyGriefSpace.Com at all times by a Certified Grief Counselor.
MyGriefSpace.net was founded in late 2006 by John Pete, GC-C, who is a Certified Grief Counselor. John provides day-to-day oversight and activity on the site. It is the mission of our community site to provide fellowship combined with resources to help its members to cope and find healing following the loss of a loved one. Questions? Next select "Account Settings" in the left hand column and scroll down to your name and UN-check the box that allows notifications. You could also set-up a free GMAIL account at Google.Com (or elsewhere) to catch unwanted mail, then enter that as your primary email address. ;o) Questions? Contact support@mygriefspace.net

Contact support@mygriefspace.net to request us to cancel your account. We will delete your account as soon as possible including ALL Blogs, Journals, Tributes, etc... One of the unique traits of this online grief community is that it is self-operating in many ways. Members can login in whenever they are seeking resources, want to read about others and their journey with grief, have questions, want to chat, are seeking new friends who understand loss firsthand, etc. You are always wlecome to contact other members to meet you online to chat, correspond with safely using our internal mail, post questions on the "My Grief talk" page, etc.

There are several things you can do to protect yourself from unwanted contacts and/or enhance your privacy. (1) If another member is being inappropriate or harrassing you, you should first contact support@mygreifspace.net and report it. (2) You can visit any other member's profile page and click "IGNORE" the member in the right column. (3) You can go to your own Profile Page and in the right column select EDIT MY PROFILE. Then in the left column click "ACCOUNT SETTINGS" and scroll down to "ALLOW THESE MEMBERS TO CONTACT ME" and change to "FRIENDS ONLY" which allows only people you have invited to join your list of friends to contact you. (4) If you do not want ANYONE to contact you, scroll further down the "ACCOUNT SETTINGS" page and change "MODE" to "DO NOT DISTURB" and no one can contact you. Remember to SAVE all changes.

Always use extreme caution when giving out ANY personal information. MGS provides an internal mail system so you do not need to give your outside email to protect your privacy. NEVER give out information to ANYONE asking for dates, money, phone calls, etc. and other schemes that are commonly used to prey on people who are vulnerable following a loss. Report any and all suspicious contacts and requests immediately to support@mygriefspace.net.
At no time is any information provided or shared on this site intended as, or a substitute for professional services of any kind and our Admin and Moderators do not provide professional grief counseling or therapy services. Our site is modeled after community grief support groups and participating members support one another on a peer-support level only based on their personal experiences.
Please call the SUICIDE PREVENTION HOTLINE at (1-800-273-TALK) or 911 and contact a family member, friend, hospital or minister right away to receive the help you need and deserve. The MyGriefSpace.net Admin, Moderators and members are unable to provide crisis intervention to help you and posting threats of suicide on this site is against site policies.
This feature was requested by members and was implemented to allow members to work on various pages at once, including while using the TUTORIAL or chatting. You can open and close several pages at once, as desired.
